Returning to my 3rd great grandmother, Ann Edwards, she married John Ruffley, in 1829 in Nantwich. They lived in Northwich and Manchester before moving to San Francisco in the late 1850s. Ann Edwards’ great grandson, Roland Totheroh (my grandfather) moved to Hollywood to become Charlie Chaplin’s cameraman from 1916 until the early 1950s.
