Elizabeth (1823) and John (1826) Kennedy left Wigtown to go to Manchester, each married and had children. I am descended from James Hamnett one of Elizabeth's sons. Another son, Samuel Alfred Hamnett emigrated to Seattle, Washington County, USA. George Kennedy (1829) emigrated to New York, USA married and had children. He settled in Brooklyn, New York. James Kennedy (1832) married and had children in Wigtown. One of his sons, Peter emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand, married and had three children. Janet Kennedy (1825) married and had two children in Wigtown.
